About the VNPA
The VNPA was developed over 50 years ago to advance photojournalism in the state of Virginia. The association, made up of newspaper, magazine and freelance photojournalists plays an important role in maintaining the high level of visual excellence in the state.

The annual membership dues of $20.00 allows photographers to enter the state quarterly clip contest, receive the annual VNPA pictures of the year book and receive the VNPA quarterly newsletter. Being a VNPA member also allows Virginia photojournalists to enter the annual contest which determines the Virginia News Photographer of the Year.
