David Copeland,52,and in the doorway is Laticia Lassiter,27, daughter of his fiance Dorothy Lassiter. Copeland received an eviction notice from Fairwood Homes where he has lived for the past 15 years. The rental homes had become rundown beyond repair and the city was preparing to bulldoze the entire community. Copeland talked about the frustration of finding affordable housing.
