Sheltered from the public eye Poor Clare sisters are a cloistered contemplative order dedicated to living an enclosed life. They are guarded not by walls, but by a deep appreciation that living apart helps them to create and maintain solitude, silence, and attentive listening to God. The sisters contact with the outside changed during the construction of a new home in New Kent County, Va. Sisters prepared their new home supervising construction and preparing the place where they will once again disappear to serve God away from public view.
Here,A nun passes Gus Fotiadis as they work to remove grille-work inside the old monastery for transport and installation in their order's new home in New Kent County. |
