Bodies of people killed in the bombing of the Imam Ali mosque are washed in preparation for burial in Najaf, Iraq, which is about 90 miles south of Baghdad. Ayatollah Mohammed Bakir Hakim, the leader of the Iranian-backed Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution of Iraq, was among the nearly 100 people that were killed in bombing of the mosque. |
